This project titled “Reflection” is designed for a music teacher. The concept of the house aims to create layered spaces, magnifies that personal quiet contemplation space and intense concentration.
Large mirrored surfaces, monochrome shades of grey, the play of light and shadow are the main compositional elements for this project inspired by the black white piano keyboards.
Aesthetically, mirrors visually enlarge living dining space and functionally it also brightens and reflects lighting while adding storage beneath its mirrored doors.
The open space for living dining allows many social gatherings and one mirror conceals the private corridor to bedroom from the public view. A long wall of many photo frames and quotes are private collections to the owner. In this brightly lit house with concealed lightings and after-hours subdued ambient lights, there are private nooks and corners where the owner still find comfort in reading a book.
