We lit the interiors of this semi-detached house to strike a pleasing balance with its waves of natural light, and to achieve a mood of cosy conviviality for the family of four.
The centrepiece hangs in an architectural void above the dining area: a warm shower of light bars, scattered at various heights and lengths to simulate a rainfall of motion, and infusing an otherwise empty space with activity and life.
Besides illuminating the dining room, this glowing tunnel leaps up towards the bedroom corridor on the second storey, providing a warm backdrop. The lights transform the white-walled corridor into a communal alleyway, softly inviting members of the family to dwell and interact for longer.
